Excerpt from Messages of Sree Sree Mentu Maharaj Senses It is most important to meditate and develop the following senses: a sense of respect for yourself and others; a sense of the different impulses that you carry to others, and those others try to convey to you; a sense of the complexes in the lives of others when under different conditions; a sense of the essential characteristics of holy people, and the characteristics of the most unholy persons, and the reasons for them; a sense of the feelings of pain and pleasure in the physical, mental and emotional bodies of others; a sense of time, of doing the right job at the right time; a sense of proper contact with different people and the effect of that contact; a sense of the different patterns of play of the different selves within oneself and in others through self-introspection, together with the right observation of the lives of others; and a sense of all the senses, of the degree of perception of different ideas, actions and reactions and the causes and effects on your life and on the lives of others. When all these senses are active, effective, dynamic and in order and are not coloured or biased in any way, the being becomes wise and can overcome and overturn all opposition, hindrances and obstructions, and is capable of removing the causes of chaos. At the root of all proper senses and in the fruits of all regions of understanding, the Holy Spirit or Guru appears, identifying with the perception of the aspirant to give a clear picture of everything. When this is achieved, it means that one has attained the kingdom of heaven.
