Sree Sree Mentu Maharaj

Throughout the ages, great souls have come on earth to free humanity from confinement and elevate everyone to their full potential, towards union with God. Such souls are known as Prophets, Messengers, Masters, Saints, Spiritual Teachers or Sat Gurus.

They have given many guidelines and holy messages for the spiritual inspiration and material success of man on earth. They carry mankind from darkness to light, from the limitation of life to expansion for final Salvation.

Sree Sree Mentu Maharaj (1921-2002), the founder of United Satsang, the Universal Peace Mission, was such a Sat Guru, a Messenger of God, a world Teacher. His life was dedicated to bringing together different religious institutions to respect each other's faiths with greater understanding and to work for the common purpose of love, unity and peace in this world.

He strongly protested any hatred between any faith or religion, as essentially the purpose of all religion is the same, to follow the common principles of life and growth along with the environment towards inner and collective unity.

Every life suffers from the influence of complexes, selfishness and ignorance, which bring hell in life. Heaven comes through Universal Love, wisdom and feeling one with the Creator and creation. People suffer hell or enjoy heaven in this very lifetime, not after death.

Maharaj inspired everyone towards happiness and success in all aspects of their lives, individual, conjugal, family, social, political and spiritual.

Maharaj said that the growth of life must be both material and spiritual. Unless life is disciplined towards self-mastery it remains stifled. He suggested practices of self-discipline for a balanced daily life. He showed the ways to achieve the Holy Spirit and attain freedom from limitations, whereby life reaches godhood with its innate divine qualities. Life attains Salvation, enjoys the kingdom of heaven within and feels oneness with God, final Enlightenment, the ultimate purpose of life.

Maharaj was a close associate of an embodiment of Universal Love and Wisdom, a fulfiller of the past Prophets and a Prophet for the present age, Sree Sree Thakur Anukul Chandra. Thakur predicted that Maharaj's holy messages and spontaneous music would go around the world and awaken mankind.

During his world tours Maharaj has given thousands of discourses to the followers of different faiths at various religious institutions. His messages have been published in many books, and his songs recorded by different musicians. When millions of hearts cry out for help to free them from the sufferings of life, such a Master as Maharaj, being one with the spirit of God, comes on earth to help mankind lift themselves from the limitation, ignorance, illusions, obsessions and complexes that create disorder and chaos in life to the Eternal Peace of freedom.

All his messages and songs show mankind the essence of truth and how we can all live in harmony, unity and peace. Having surrendered to God, it was God's living Breath, the Holy Spirit that worked through Maharaj to awaken the same Holy Spirit in others. Universal Love and Wisdom work as the Holy Spirit to free humanity from the causes of bondage.

He came to energize the Holy Spirit in everyone's life, so that they can carry that spirit to live in harmony and peace and overcome the evil spirit created by the influence of bad stars, wrong company, emotional disorders and the imprisonment of passions and complexes.

He came to awaken mankind to the reality that they can live an ideal life and have ideal relationships, freedom and Salvation.

He came to unite all faiths and religions in the common religion of mankind through devotion to their respective Mediators, so that all material and spiritual aspects of their lives will be adjusted, elevated and fulfilled.

He came to explain the causes of suffering and how to avoid it, the cause of happiness in life and how to attain it, the gems of truth in life and love and how to gain them, the world of Maya or illusion and how to avoid it.

He came to clean the mind and heart of mankind so that everyone can easily realize their God within and remain in tune with their spirit to love each other, serve each other and remain ever blessed.

He came to let the world know the days of chaos are going to be over. A new strength, spirit and success are ahead. Mankind will be able to find answers to its problems. Nations will be able to join their hands and hearts to remove the causes of suffering, wants and worries and bring peace on earth.

He came to deliver the messages of the Almighty to all His children so that they can find the right path to reach their ultimate Enlightenment, through the fulfillment of their life, love and relations and through understanding the Creator and His creations.

His Mission is the mission of all Prophets and of all mankind, by following which anyone can raise themselves from animality to manhood, to sainthood and godhood.

His wish was that everyone should be united and dedicated to follow the right principles of Being and Becoming and the easiest path of Self-Enlightenment and Self-Realization for Bliss Absolute.

He was the Messenger of the past Prophets and present Masters, whose spirit was revitalized in his life and teachings and in his Man Making Mission for the liberation and Salvation of mankind.

There is no meaning of spiritual practices, services or rituals without knowing the self and its Reality. Maharaj said Salvation is a state of life, in this very lifetime, when the self becomes free from any diversion, captivation or illusion. The self attains mastery and achieves Universal Love and Wisdom. The self becomes free to embrace the Supreme Soul at the background of all existence. The self becomes one with the Creator and creations and remains with its real identity of Supreme Bliss or Sat Chit Anandam: Eternal Existence ­ Sat; all-pervading Pure Consciousness ­ Chit; Everlasting Bliss ­ Anandam.
