The Man Making Mission

The Prophets of all faiths and religions who carry the Holy Spirit of God come on earth from time to time, and are essentially the same Messenger of God. They are the embodiment of Universal Love and Wisdom, born to inspire and uplift the lives of their followers for final liberation, Salvation and unification with the spirit of God.

As the Prophets carry the same spirit, so all religions and faiths teach us how to live, love, serve, maintain right relations and fulfill all the conjugal, family, social, cultural, political and spiritual aspects of life.

By following an ideal in every field of life man achieves complete fulfillment, upliftment and enlightenment of his life. By following the basic principles of life and growth, being and becoming, common to all mankind, we can change our lives and help our environment to do likewise for final elevation. Unless the individual components of the world ­- us -­ are changed towards good, the greater world cannot change and live in unity and peace.

This change, encouraging mankind to move beyond animal instincts, from manhood to godhood, is a man-making process. So the Mission ­- United Satsang, the Universal Peace Mission -­ is known as a man making mission.

This Mission is founded on the realization that there is one God, the Supreme Being, the creative, protective, procreative force at the background of all existence. This Being is called by many names and reached by many paths. All Prophets carry essentially the same message, varying only according to the needs of the times and cultures into which they were born, as eternal truth is the same. Religions are fundamentally the same. Respect for all genuine religions, faiths and Prophets, and to follow the essence of the teachings contained in every faith, is vital for unity and peace in the world.

These teachings exist for our material and spiritual success. We need to know how to remove the causes of wants and worries, depression and disorder from our lives and relationships. This is only possible when we nurture and maintain the Holy Spirit of God throughout our lives. This Mission shows how simply and easily this can be done.

This Mission helps to develop all the interconnected aspects of life. Harmony in life comes from a balance of material and spiritual growth. Success in spiritual life comes through growth in universal love and wisdom. This growth comes by practicing right meditation and by following a living Ideal.

The Mission has many ways in which it pursues and furthers its aims and objectives. It publishes books on different aspects of spiritual teachings. It brings out a quarterly magazine called 'Solace' that enjoys a readership in both the East and the West. It holds meetings and conferences. Speeches and discussions are being recorded. A selection of songs has been recorded that inspire and carry the listener to their inner peace.

As well as arranging public meetings at all its centres, the Mission has been successful in organizing several three-day conferences for the World Parliament of Religion and Culture in various countries. Many prominent leaders in spiritual, cultural, social and political fields have taken part. The aim of these conferences has been to provide a common platform for those with a genuine concern about the state of the world to express ideas and suggestions for finding solutions to today's problems.

This Mission belongs to everyone and to every faith, as all carry the same spirit of God, whatever rituals, rules or regulations exist in their culture. Nobody is converted from one faith to another. Rather, by inverting themselves to their divinity within, they achieve the fullness of beauty, mercy, patience and all the godly qualities.

This Mission is everyone's mission, for it touches every aspect of life, and its call is a universal one. The Mission is run on a voluntary basis. No fee is required for joining or receiving any guidance or help. 

The world has to explore the ways of removing wants, worries and insecurity from people's lives. Every nation needs to grow culturally and economically. A well-organized united world government made up of international leaders is an ideal way to control the necessities of life for individuals and nations. A united government should control the causes of war, poverty, disease and disorder in the world. The time has come for humanity to feel itself as one family.

The problems of our world are a sum of the problems of each individual in society. The world needs good souls to help it evolve. A good marriage provides the soil in which good souls can be conceived and nurtured. There is no requirement for any escape from normality in the quest for a happier, more fulfilled life, while following a spiritual path. A good marriage can provide ample opportunity for adjusting the self and finding a deep love beyond passing emotions.

If we believe that at the moment of union, when a sperm and ova meet and become a zygote, a soul exists within that life, it follows that all the influences surrounding that moment are most important.

Respect for the husband and appreciation of his good qualities is paramount. As a woman takes the inner photo of her husband ­ the father of her child ­ and his qualities, talents, abilities, defects and disabilities, so is the impression made on the newly arrived soul. If a woman believes her partner to be mercenary, her child will take on something of that nature. If, at the moment of conception, a woman believes her partner to be generous and forgiving, her child will develop those qualities.

In order for there to be a good, solid, respectful relationship between husband and wife, the right choice of life partner is essential. Various aspects of the being need to be either a blending of opposite or a matching of similar qualities, such as the frequency of vibration of love, the thoughts and ideals of the mind, temperaments, the instinctive likings of inherent natures, social backgrounds, spiritual affinity and physical attraction.

In many cultures, this choice of partner is or used to be the preserve of wise parents. In today's fast-paced world, a living Ideal can help with this vital decision. When both partners look not just to each other and their own limited interests but towards an Ideal, when both live, love and behave for the sake of an Ideal, a different energy, purity and love permeates the relationship.

The fundamental quality of womanhood is to nurture, and the fundamental quality of manhood is to fulfill. If these qualities are developed, respected and encouraged within marriage, along with individual instinctive natures, a harmonious environment into which good souls may be born must follow.

Marriage is not meant for the indulgence of some passing emotions. It is a process of adjustment and growth on the path from the mortal self to the Real Self, on the path from narrow love to an expanded Real Love. Marriage is a good soil in which to nurture good souls.

Of course, there are other factors that affect souls, such as genetics, the magnetic pull of galactic matter, everything a woman feels or experiences during pregnancy, environmental factors, the right education of the character and the effect of good and bad forces in life.

The universal law of action and reaction guarantees an inevitable result for everything we do in this birth or the next. We are born as a combination of different impulses, pulled to our parents by the possibility of fulfilling our beings in certain circumstances. We are all part of the universal man making mission, whatever faith or creed we follow, as we attempt to live a life and create a soil that will nurture love, wisdom, energy and peace within our children, environment and ourselves.

There is no point in attaining Salvation and realizing the soul if the vehicle of the soul ­- the mortal self, the ego, the complexes, and the instinctive nature ­- remain unadjusted. There is no point in realizing the soul if there is no acceptance of social responsibility. There is no point in realizing the soul without conceiving universal love.

Man cannot change his environment or the condition of his life on earth unless he changes himself. This does not mean renunciation or the suppression of natural emotions and instincts, but rather their sublimation to a higher cause. It means the daily practice of seemingly small behaviours like avoiding criticism of others, because finding faults and appreciating good qualities both awaken within ourselves whatever we admire or condemn in others.

Everyone is encouraged to keep their inner being vital with the knowledge of the soul. With that awareness or Self Realization, the practice of meditation, and love for a living Ideal radiating to the environment, everyone is encouraged to transform the changeable self to achieve their Reality.

This is the being and becoming of an ideal life, a man-making process, that embodies the all-embracing man making mission of United Satsang, the Universal Peace Mission.

Our existence is meaningless without fulfillment and final evolution. Our life is meaningless without an Ideal and a purpose. Man needs to have the touch of divine love and discriminating understanding. Man needs to lead a normal life and contribute to a healthy society. Mankind needs a spiritual revolution through understanding and respect for each other's faith to reach individual and global peace.
